H.E.R. DAO - Web3 womxn builders and founders

H.E.R DAO is a womxn-centered developer DAO that includes non-binary audiences. Our goal is to sustainably diversify the blockchain ecosystem, leading to more versatile, holistic innovations and increased revenue potential. In other words: we want to build great products that generate revenue and increase equity for everyone!

What we do

H.E.R DAO aims to pave the way for womxn’s access into web 3, improving diversity among this space. H.E.R. supports womxn on their way to bring forth new innovations and to set them on a successful path. We organise hands-on activities concerning onboarding and community building, as well as educational and development training for womxn with the goal of them becoming builders and founders. Additionally we sponsor womxn to attend and participate in Web3 Conferences and hackathons around the world, and we teach them how to get the best out of these events!

Problem we are solving:

Missing diversity/ accessibility in the space

Solution:

To address this issue, we have developed a comprehensive approach that focuses on providing education and community support specifically for women and non-binary individuals in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Our approach includes bringing more than 600 women to more than 20 hackathons and conferences, which gives scholars and students access to knowledge and networking opportunities. We also focus on P2P onboarding, particularly through local language and in-person meetups. We believe that this approach is especially crucial for underrepresented groups, who may not have access to online resources or who may feel excluded from online communities. To achieve this goal, we have set up various H.E.R. DAO subnodes in different regions, such as LATAM, Korea, Kenya, India, Turkey, and Europe. Our subDAOs help us understand the regional applications and adoptions of DAOs, which can inform a global DAO infrastructure that represents intersectional interests. By creating a technology that is representative of intersectional interests, we believe that we can create a more inclusive and diverse global community that can benefit from the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology.

Plans for Funding:

with the funding we will build out our internal structure, give initial funding to Sub-DAOs, create educational material, organize meetups, provide mentorship, provide scholarship
