One Sky Collective

Who We Are

One Sky Collective is a groundbreaking initiative uniting climate change organisations and apps under one gamified web3 banner, using art, sport, and community action to empower and reward positive behaviour change and climate action.

We all live under one sky and collectively, we can make a difference.

What Makes us Different

We genuinely want to achieve mass adoption in addition to showing that web3 can be a force for good. While we will use NFTs for rewards and for fundraising, we will not use a crypto token (at least until normies are ready) or promise to make anyone rich. We operate as a non-profit and our focus is on plastic pollution as a stepping stone to further climate action.

Why?

A Waste of a River

Much of the world is drowning in discarded plastic, which overwhelms our ability to manage it effectively. Plastic waste is highly visible in developing Asian and African nations, where inadequate waste disposal systems exacerbate the problem. There is a need to both remove ocean plastic but also to reduce our use and waste.

How

Together with multiple apps, including the groundbreaking Refill app with 500,000 users, we will track, combine and reward climate action on one central hub, One Sky Collective. Every action counts and it is the sum of our efforts which make the difference.

That's why we will be combining efforts, working together and encouraging cross use of apps with every activity adding value and having an impact and every activity being recognised and rewarded.

Activities

We have plans to add more functionality but initially we will track:

  • Attending beach cleans
  • Watching educational content
  • Using the Refill App (500,000 users)
  • Buying sustainable products
  • Blood test for plastics
  • Registering active travel

Art for the Oceans

Art for the Ocean

In partnership with Honest Ocean in Indonesia, Ocean Sole in Kenya and NFT platform NiftyKit we will use digital art to raise funds for ocean and river clean ups, for employing local communities and supporting educational activities. We have recruited dozens of artists and photographers, many of whom you will be familiar with, and we have a cunning plan to maximise sales and funds going to support coastal communities affected by plastic waste.

Collaboration

We recognise that changing the behaviours of millions is an ambitious goal and one that requires collective action. This is why we are using sport to connect with and partner with calisthenics, running and soccer communities, opening up an initial audience of over 30 million people.

How we will Spend Funds

The priority is to build our platform and integrate the APIs of our partner orgs. Marketing then becomes our priority with content created for our influencers to share across their social media channels.

Any additional funds will be used to recruit artists not able to work on a revenue share basis

Team

Stephen Morrison is our founder. He is passionate about conservation and inclusion and is a crypto veteran having worked as a community manager, copywriter and adviser for various web3 projects.

Brendan Cosso is a respected fitness coach, entrepreneur and CEO of the World Calisthenics Organization. He is our lead in the US and responsible for our army of influencers.

Janelle Ross is a talented and experienced Operations Director and it will be her role to deliver Stephen’s vision and recruit staff
