Innovative social media platform combining micro-blogging with DeFi, powered by Cartesi Rollups, featuring AI-driven recommendations, a tipping economy, and under development for integrating gaming and an onchain wallet.

Hey Peeps👋

Peeps is an innovative social media platform which in its current iteration brings the fusion of traditional micro-blogging with support from elements of blockchain's DeFi! 💬💼. Future planned developments include the expansion of the platform to onboard onchain gaming🎮 and an expanded and embedded wallet🪙.

Peeps was the winning project at the Cartesi Rollups Africa Masterclass Hackathon in February 2024, it is also a recipient of Cartesi's DevAd Seed Grant for development of an MVP DApp, which is currently under development.

Peeps is powered by Cartesi Rollups, which allows for users to enjoy classic social media features backed by seamless recommendation algorithms which leverages ML and AI. Peeps also leverages DeFi to enjoy a seamless interaction and tipping system.

The DeFi feature enables users to directly reward content creators that they value with cryptocurrency, fostering a strong creator economy (users can also send cryptocurrency to their peeps in the form of tips - bonus functionality).

All of these are driven by the Cartesi Machine's high computational power to run ML models, recommendation algorithms, facilitate blockchain crypto settlements and future game logic while providing a seamless integration of DApps built with Web 2 languages and deployed for use on the Blockchain..

Peeps aims to push the boundaries of conventional social networking by providing a more personalized, secure, engaging and rewarding experience for users.
