Gitcoiners brace yourself for a silly web3 experience!
Hello Gitcoiners, my name is Phillip Reidy from Victoria, Australia. I want to extend a warm welcome to my web series, "The Crypto Puppets Show," a series I've been diligently crafting. This show takes you on a wild journey through the Web3 universe like never before. Get ready to meet your favorite crypto personalities, portrayed as puppets, as they embark on hilarious adventures and engage in thrilling showdowns.
My aim is to create a fun and engaging blockchain experience that bridges the gap between crypto, education, and entertainment. This series serves as the next gateway for millions into the world of Web3 and I would like to create two segments/episodes for the Gitcoin community.
Mission
The future is entertainment and learning should be FUN. At "The Crypto Puppets Show," What I am creating is a mission is to redefine entertainment in Web3 while educating and engaging our audience about the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. That's why I'm applying to the Citizens round, I would like to feature and promote Gitcoin, by creating two custom-made episodes dedicated to the community, falling under promotional, educational, and governance categories. Let's create amazing content with puppets!
Puppeteering the issue
"Can I have the spotlight, please? Will the real Gary Gensler please stand up?" (Yes, I'm working on that music video.)
Using puppet versions of crypto personalities can be a powerful tool making it beyond entertainment, the show simplifies complex concepts and makes them accessible for anyone and that's my goal. Present and create thought provoking behavior for viewers and help people better understand crypto.
Puppetry Is for Everyone We're all puppeteers just waiting for a puppet, and the same is true for blockchain.
So back to when I just said puppetry is for everyone.
Well that's where Community-Driven Storytelling comes in.
Being a part of a Web3 organization or community should encourage participation. If you have a brilliant idea for an episode in this grant proposal aside from a few proposed ideas I have given, please pitch it forward. If there's some demand, I will do my best to bring it to life, it will not only help Gitcoin but help the show as well and I want everyone to be a part of this.
Episode Ideas; I have a few episode ideas that come to mind, and one of them is to talk specifically about the PGN chain since it is a crucial infrastructure for Gitcoin. An episode can provide background information and show the audience how they can get started. This idea can be supported with a puppet version of Kevin Owocki the episode would be titled 'Public Goods Are Good' (construction time for Kevin would need to be done) or simply using one of my completed puppets from the list. (Oh and Kevin if you want to reach out, I would love to put out a puppet on the Swag Store, we could pull it from the Gitcoin comic)
Another idea could be very basic silly but we could have Trump actively learn, narrate and talk about Gitcoin content and then encourage people to start staking their identity to defend against the notorious sybil attacks. lol "We will build a wall against all sybils"
I'm also more then happy to do additional content about the values-aligned partnerships Gitcoin has since they are also supporting Gitcoin.

By writing this proposal to Gitcoins builder community I want to also invite Gitcoiners to be a part of the show too, I spoke on the grants AMA I forgot to ask this question if it was allowed or not, but I'd like to reward out puppets to contributors who really want to be a part of what I'm building.
FAQ
What will you use the grant for?
Primarily, the grant will go towards acquiring a new camera and creating additional puppets and episodes to raise awareness for Gitcoin.
How many seasons will there be?
Now that all being said, It will be a web show going for one season regardless, then afterwards I have plans to renew the show for a second season. If any help comes then there will be more resources available for more content.
Will you be creating a token?
In the much later future maybe I was considering a token or DAO launch to give the dedicated viewers creative control over the show's direction but I am also very much against creating a token. There have been much better other ideas to monetize the show and give viewers control put on the table such as bringing out monthly web3 subscription boxes geared to set people up towards bringing out content of their own!
Can Gitcoin or myself advertise on your show?
I am considering the possibility. After all, even puppets have bills to pay.
Can I help out?
Yes, anyone can contribute! I appreciate all forms of support, whether you're skilled at creating content or simply want to help spread the word, enabling me to continue delivering top-notch entertainment with a crypto twist.
And that brings me to ask you a question.
Are you an artist, writer, or performer?
You also have the option to join in and create episodes too.
I just want to say The Crypto Puppets Show isn't just a series; it's a living, breathing community I want to build where your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm fuel the storytelling engine. I want this to be so much bigger and have an impact on this space, so whether you're a blockchain expert or just dipping your toes into the Web3 universe, there's a place for you here.
I want people to be a part of a unique experience where entertainment, education, and community collaboration converges. Which anyone can make a mark on the Web3 entertainment landscape with "The Crypto Puppets Show - Community-Powered Adventures."
