Beyond Followers: Distributing “Community Impact Tokens” to Transform Followers into Active Community Members

Community members aspire to be more than just followers or backers; they seek to be active participants in the causes they care about. Public Optimism wants to offer a transformative solution: the distribution of "Community Impact Tokens."

These tokens (tracked on-chain using the hypercerts protocol) are a form of currency that rewards community members for their active engagement. Whether it's through donations, message amplification, collaboration, or direct involvement in impact activities, each contribution is recognized and rewarded.

This innovative approach ensures that every participant receives tangible recognition for their efforts, increasing their investment and commitment to the project. Community Impact Tokens serve a dual purpose: they incentivize continued support and involvement, and they empower individuals by giving them a stake in the project’s outcomes. Holders of these tokens gain voting power, influencing important decisions about the project’s direction and use of funds.

We want to maximize their impact and make them thrive! That’s why we will allocate 80% of all funds received from this grant directly to support social impact and sustainability projects. For every $500 usd we get from this round, we will support an extra organization.

We are taking this approach because, in this next phase of our project, it will enable us to collect essential feedback and insights, which are critical for ongoing iteration and refinement of the platform. We want to initiate a cycle of continuous improvement and amplified impact, ensuring that each step forward optimizes both our support mechanisms and the success of the social impact and environmental projects we will serve.
