ReFi Mexico City is a local node of the global ReFi DAO, focused on tangible regenerative actions, with real use cases and fostering the growth of the web3 ecosystem in Mexico City. Led by Oscar, the co-founder of ReFi Starter, Miché, an environmental scientist, founder of Senergy Tech, and Gerardo Alvarez, psychologist and social entrepreneur, the founder of MotusDAO, and who has been gathering a Solar Punk community.

Together we aim to organize regenerative initiatives, raise awareness about the critical environmental and social issues, and create a collaborative interconnected network of regenerative leaders and spaces across various sectors in order to expand ReFi's impact worldwide.

The enormous Web3 community of Mexico City hosts thousands of digital nomads, entrepreneurs starting projects, introducing this node at the right time to flow with the momentum in order to attract and empower regenerative Eco-technologist initiatives.

As well we are in contact with impact-oriented communities, regeneration-driven entrepreneurs, environmentalists not knowing about Web3, impact-investment organizations, urban farmers, and Web3 communities located here in Mexico City. Big potential is growing and ready to burst, we are ready to contribute and innovate to a new era for community.

We will leverage our expertise in web3 technology, environmental science, human science, Web3 community engagement, and partnerships to deliver tangible impact on the ground at the same time we grow the community.

We are connected to several communities in Mexico City like Ethereum Mexico, Nouns, Bright Moments, Anti-SAT, NFT community, Polkadot Mexico, Near Protocol, Algorand Mexico, Celo, Gear, Avalanche Mexico, Avocado Blockchain, Solana, Solar Punks, and many other Layer 1 with people here in Mexico City.

However there are not ReFi-only community, and this is the Community we are growing, looking forward to create a strong green pill culture.

Lots of awereness is needed on the DeSci, ReSci, DeSoc, ReSoc, De Healthcare, environment science, decentralized finance, and DAOs. We are dedicated to addressing the efforts through Workshops, interactive-meetups, Twitter Spaces, Invite Developers to join ReFi.

Our goals:

For the next 12 months, we aim to achieve the following goals:

-Organize at least 1-2 regenerative actions or activations per month

-Grow social media sentiment and ReFi presence in web3 within the Mexican community. As well the non-web3 but working on environmental-projects and mental health services.

-Establish partnerships with local public, private, and third-sector institutions, including 84 universities around Mexico that we are already connected to, government agencies, NGOs (local non-profits) and Impact-funds.

-Raise between $25,000 to $200,000 to fund our initial operations and grow/expand our impact as our organization grows, with full transparency and accountability.

Our team consists of experienced professionals with prooftrack record on building Community, Education, Blockchain development, DLT insights, community engagement, environmental and social/mental health activism:

-Oscar, co-founder of ReFi Starter, researcher, has a proven track record on working on we3 and regenerative initiatives, in Mexico and abroad.

-Miché, an environmental scientist founder of Senergy Tech, brings expertise in renewable energy, technology, and community development.

-Gerardo Alvarez, psychologist and social entrepreneur co-founder of MotusDAO, who is democratizing mental health services and has been gathering a Solar Punk community.

As our organization grows, we will seek additional funding to expand our reach and impact, within our robust network.
