Tokyo River Friends conducts weekly cleanups on Tokyo rivers and beaches, followed by social activities, aiming to fund homeless participants' efforts.
Tokyo River Friends (TRF) holds weekly river clean up events on Tokyo area rivers (generally the Arakawa and Edogawa) as well as occasional beach clean ups in the Kanto area.
Participants experience the rivers in and around Tokyo up close while engaging in productive and fun activities like river clean ups followed by riverside picnics or nijikais at a nearby restaurant.
Like-minded people while enjoying the beauty that our local nature has to offer and having fun at the same time. We also organize other outdoor hiking or beach events as well as occasional volunteer activities as well as parties, dinners, etc.
Funding Goals
We hope to raise funding to reward the homeless for contributing to our clean up efforts.
