Treegens are BUIDLing the most rewarding and transparent tree planting through tokenized mangroves, a gamified Proof of Plant protocol & the world's first dynamic Semi-Soulbound Tokens.

Now that Jimi has set a World Record for most trees planted in a day by 1 person, the Treegen movement is gearing up to break the next world record - most trees planted in a day by any number of people! That's 560M trees, set by Ethiopia.

Misaligned Incentives Our economy currently values the degeneration of nature more than it values the regeneration of nature. Until it flips the other way, nature will continue to be degraded.

Impact Transparency The impact sector faces criticism for not providing enough transparency. Donor updates are often reused, leading to lack of trust and reduced contributions overall.

🌳 HOW WE WILL SOLVE IT 🌳

Tokenized Trees The $MGRO token with Proof of Plant - only issued to those who prove that they have proven they have planted mangrove trees by filming the trees planted for our AI to count. Treegen DAO members then verify with AI tree counted videos, GPS coordinates & the Treegen planter profiles to avoid double counting. These tokens are Eco Credits that not only prove that trees have successfully been planted but are also growing over the course of 3 years.

Non-Fungible Updates (NFU) Every single tree planted by Treegens or funded for our For Trees Club partners to plant is counted with AI, with more than 97.5% accuracy. Videos with this AI tree counter overlaid are then brought on-chain as Non-Fungible Updates. Livepeer will help us scale this process.

Dynamic Semi-Soulbound Tokens (DSST) Treegen NFTs dynamically display your impact metrics. The mind orb gets brighter when you fund trees by retiring MGRO. The heart orbs get brighter when you plant mangrove trees & MGRO is minted to your wallet. While the underlying artwork is transferable, these overlaid orbs are non-transferable and will display on whichever Treegen NFT is connected to our DApp through your profile. This is because we are gamifying regeneration!

Ecological Benefit Forwards - Rewarding Exponential Growth In additional to leveraging the future value of carbon credits in the short term to reinvest back into trees as forwards, we will also plan to leverage forwards on EBFs.

The Ecological Benefits Framework helps us measure positive impact across 6 different categories - carbon, biodiversity, water, air, soil & equity. By working with impact investors to purchase forwards in all of these categories, we can multiply our trees & reward holders of MGRO. Thereby making them bullish on regeneration!

Carbon forwards, for example, are where impact investors buy the future value of carbon credits in the short term. Even though these forwards are sold at a reduced rate, they still equate to approximately 9X more than what it costs to plant the mangrove trees. This is after dedicating 50% for sustainability & conservation efforts and 10% towards rewarding Treegen holders. 1M mangrove trees is only 6 carbon forward deals away from funding over 500B mangrove trees under this model.

They have already funded Treegens to plant 1M trees & have committed to plant another 3M mangrove trees with us when they launch in 2024. ✅ Many NFT projects are leveraging Non-Fungible Updates with Treegens such as Ecosapiens, FightersGang, Greenstix, Crypto Whales, Forest Heroes & Mergulls. ✅Through our Bluesphere Carbon partnership, we have lined up impact investors for carbon forward deals so we can achieve our vision of exponential regeneration. ✅ Jimi Cohen is also the co-founder of For Trees Club, which oversees the tree planting that Treegens fundraises for and has developed the AI tree counting software used for non-fungible updates.

DApp platform ➡️DAO validators for Proof of Plant. 50% of the Treegens mint goes towards the DAO treasury to support impactful projects the DAO votes on. The other 50% of our NFT mint directly funds mangrove tree planting. ➡️Optimal UI / UX for our platform including an interactive globe with all Non-Fungible Updates displayed.
