Peruvian web3 community Women Biz, with over 1000 members, educates women on blockchain through events and recently expanded with a 7-city tour to onboard students and establish local chapters.

We are Women Biz, a peruvian web3 community. Our journey started in January 2022 hosting IRL educational events in Lima, we managed to host more than 25 free onboarding events until now thanks to the support of Andino DAO, NTT Data, local web3 projects and our community. We currently have more than more than 1000 members from diverse backgrounds, including students, entrepreneurs, and professionals of all ages.

We understand that blockchain can be a new and intimidating area for many, which is why we strive to make it more accessible and relatable through our approach. We aim to break down complex web3 concepts into simpler, more digestible pieces connecting these new concepts with the knowledge and experiences women already have, allowing them to see the potential and relevance of web3 technology in their own lives and fields of work.

This 2023 we were awarded the RetroPGF from OPTIMISM. Thanks to those funds and the support of other projects, we did our first tour THE WEB3 REVOLUTION TOUR in 7 cities of Peru where we onboarded more than 600 students. Most of them heard about web3, blockchain and AI for the first time and they even got their first wallets to receive their proof of assistance NFT.

Our goal is to activate the web3 community in these regions and create local chapters that will continue to replicate what we have been doing, organizing events and activities in their regions, and strengthening the network of women interested in technology and web 3 across the country, each equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to lead and support their local communities.

With your support, we will be able to cover the costs associated with organizing these events. This includes venue rentals, materials, logistics, and other necessary expenses.
