Iranian women offer smart contract education in Farsi, empowering local communities with blockchain technology and promoting inclusivity in Ethereum ecosystem.

Description

"Women in Blockchain Farsi" is a group of Iranian women committed to creating original smart contract educational content in Farsi for Farsi speaking communities.

Upon successfully graduating from the ConsenSys Academy Developer Bootcamp in 2020 and later in 2021, graduating in the top 10% of the first Secureum Bootcamp for Smart Contract Security Auditing, these women are now actively running Solidity courses and workshops that allows Farsi speakers to learn and participate in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Women in blockchain Farsi has an impressive track record of success. In the summer of 2021, they conducted live classes for a cohort of 35 students. After noticing Iranian students are getting banned from English online courses due to their geographical location, Women in Blockchain Farsi released all their 2021 YouTube videos for free, which amassed over 65,000 views and attracted over 100 students following along with the video releases.

This summer (2023), Women in blockchain Farsi launched a new cohort for the course, and to their surprise, over 1700 individuals signed up for the course mailing list, which is three times more than what was initially expected. This overwhelming response reflects the growing interest and demand for our educational content in the Farsi-speaking community.

The summer cohort is currently running and the top 3 graduates of the course will be nominated for DevConnect and EthIstanbul travel scholarship.

For more details on the course content, interested individuals can access the information here and youtube.
