Hello, we are 0xBlob🐰!
0xBlob is a Korean crypto education initiative that defines crypto education as a 'public good.' We are committed to providing genuine crypto learning experiences that closely align with the actual practice and the core ethos of the community.
Under our mission of “nurturing a sound Korean crypto ecosystem’, we provide with the comprehensive education to empower individuals, with a deep understanding of blockchain/crypto.
What we’ve done so far

(Apr 2023) We started!
The formation of the Blob team originated from a crypto community called 'Nonce', started in 2016. 'Nonce community' is a co-living/co-working space where over 100 individuals interested in the crypto industry gather to share information and insights about new technologies and start-up, supported by more than 400 alumni. Many Korean crypto projects, such as DSRV, Chainapsis (Keplr wallet, Osmosis), and Nonce Classic, started from the Nonce community.
Our team, leveraging long practical experience and insights gained while working in the crypto industry, deeply empathizes with the lack of education in this field as a major impediment to its healthy development. Believing in the need for systematic and in-depth education for the advancement and sustainable growth of the crypto industry, we founded 0xBlob together.

Problem
Most universities in Korea do not offer dedicated blockchain-related programs, leaving students with limited opportunities to systematically learn about blockchain and crypto. While students often form self-led clubs to study blockchain, the lack of expert guidance and quality educational resources makes in-depth learning challenging. Additionally, students tend to focus solely on the technical aspects of blockchain, often overlooking its philosophical, historical, and cultural foundations. As a result, they may not be adequately prepared to become builders in the Web3 ecosystem.
Solution
We offer an 18-hour crypto course for free to help students, whether they are developers or non-developers, gain a deep understanding of crypto and blockchain. This course goes beyond technical education, exploring the philosophical, historical, and cultural foundations of the blockchain industry, enabling students to grasp the true value of blockchain technology. Through this course, we aim to equip students with the essential knowledge needed to navigate the Web3 world and support their growth into builders within the crypto ecosystem. Next semester, we plan to provide this course for free to 10 university blockchain societies, expanding opportunities for more students to engage with the Web3 ecosystem.
With Gitcoin grant, we will:
- Use it to help cover server costs for the VOD lectures provided to students.
- Utilize it for hands-on training in using crypto wallets and participating in DApp activities.
- Support offering free education to even more students.

✅ Web3 All-in-One 100 Program (18hrs)
This program serves as an onboarding lecture for both developers and non-developers looking to enter the Web3 industry. This course program, covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, scalability, DeFi, NFT/DAO, etc., is a comprehensive lecture that details the birth, history, and development process of the Web3 industry, including its philosophical, historical, and cultural impacts.
