What We’re Building in Q3 2023.

There’s a lot we’re working on for the larger vision of BETTER. Here are a few things we are excited about in the near term:

🔜 🌎 BETTER GOODS
This fall we’re launching our new website and storefront, featuring limited edition IRL products and creative collaborations to drive engagement and value directly to the BETTER CLIMATE FUND, onboard new supporters, and bridge web2 ecommerce with ReFi web3 community governance.

🔜 🎥 BETTER FILMS
Following on the success and reception of the BETTER DAO PSA, members of the DAO from the entertainment and advertising industry will continue to raise awareness about the urgency of climate change with the call to join the BETTER DAO to take action. Supported by industry professionals, new BETTER Films will bring attention to the DAO’s planet-positive initiatives, new products, and storefront.

🔜 ✌️ CLIMATE FUND ENHANCEMENTS
We are actively developing a front-end app and back-end enhancements to the BETTER CLIMATE FUND to build on our partnership with Spirals Protocol, as well as exploring new L2 solutions. Our goal is to incentivize participation, make it easier to deploy holdings for impact initiatives, and create frictionless and rewarding ways to contribute to the Fund and help govern it. New B2B and B2C solutions will provide novel ways to engage with projects, community members, and onboard new users to create direct planet-positive impact.

Gitcoin Beta + Alpha Updates

✅ 🎬 BETTER FILMS (COMPLETED): Members of the DAO from the entertainment industry have completed filming for two new BETTER films to raise awareness about the urgency of climate change and call to take action. Releases expected Q2-Q4 2023. Supported by director Logan Fields and Blank Square Productions (clients include Nike, Coca-Cola, Activision), Pieter Viljoen and The Den Editorial (clients include Netflix, Amazon, Nike), Grau.House Music, Rare Medium, Butter Music & Sound, and Mr. Bronx Audio Post.

✅ 🤝 BETTER x SPIRALS: In Q1 2023 we entered a project partnership with Spirals to feature the BETTER CLIMATE FUND. We’re continuing to build on top of our integration with their protocol, to enhance the ways we can participate and drive meaningful, community-led climate action via web3, while also increasing the transparency in projects that will be beneficiaries of the BETTER CLIMATE FUND through the Spiral Counsel’s verification and approval process.

✅ 🔥 BETTER GOODS: Gitcoin support has directly helped in funding our core products ahead of launching our marketplace.

✅ 🌎 BETTER BUDDIES: Our genesis collection of 2,050 planet-positive NFTs, launched 12.12.22 on the Ethereum blockchain. BUDDIES staking and trait upgrade rewards launched Q1 2023 thanks in part to GR15 grant funding.

✅ 🎬 BETTER DAO PSA: Members of the DAO from the entertainment industry created a public service announcement (PSA) to raise awareness about the urgency of climate change with the call to join the BETTER DAO to take action. Currently 120k+ YouTube views, 12k+ Twitter Impressions. Climate Impact

BETTER is building an endowment for planet positive impact via the BETTER CLIMATE FUND, which is governed by the community through a DAO. Our growing list of Climate Advisors helping to steward the best possible use cases for the Fund include policy and strategists from Climate Resolve, Toucan and MIT. 🤝

The future of the BETTER CLIMATE FUND is in the hands of the community, meaning it could expand into any number of different areas including conservation, new forms of tokenized climate impact credits, individual donations to compelling causes, and more. 🌿
