Creating a Toronto-based initiative promoting decentralized science to enhance equity in research and innovation, encouraging multidisciplinary collaboration across diverse communities.

As we see it, decentralized science is the cornerstone of equitable innovation. We seek to create more open, fair opportunities for all researchers including those from underfunded disciplines and underrepresented communities. We aim to advance the researcher’s reputation and portfolio.

We’ve come together to foster the development of DeSci in Toronto, which we hope will spread awareness of decentralized science initiatives and projects in this space. We encourage all disciplines and lived experiences to participate in DeSci TO as we believe multidisciplinary efforts produce the best results.

We are running DeSci Meetups to promote awareness, collaboration and encourage other disciplines and people with various lived experiences to participate in this emerging space.
