Launching a pop-up village in Italy, Digitalia aims to become a permanent digital innovation hub, uniting the crypto community with Italian culture, fostering entrepreneurship, and accelerating innovative projects through collaboration, tradition, and emerging technologies.

Digitalia: A Zu-Village, is a pop-up village in Italy, launching in September 2024. The primary goal of Digitalia is to lay the foundation stone for a permanent digital innovation hub in Italy and make it a landmark for digital and web3 talents, local and international, where they can travel to connect, collaborate, and live together. Digitalia’s mission is to unite the crypto community with the iconic Italian territory, culture, and local businesses. As an example of synergy between innovation and tradition, Digitalia will play a role in driving the country’s digitization while preserving the historic “Made in Italy” label. Digitalia is inspired by Balaji’s "The Network State" and by Zuzalu, physically connecting highly aligned online communities to address real-world challenges. We want to use emerging digital tools like cryptocurrency and AI to develop Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) as solutions for digital illiteracy in Italy. The builder's experience is designed to last one month, immersed in the Italian beauty and traditions. Digitalia is intended for anyone passionate about contributing to Italy's digital future. While the village is open to both Italians and non-Italians, the primary goal is to develop collaboration among individuals committed to improving Italy's digital public goods and the business ecosystem in Italy. Digitalia is born to address a critical challenge within Italy's business environment: fostering entrepreneurship by providing easy access to a supportive ecosystem of resources for mentoring, incubating, and funding innovative projects. Digitalia will create a fund to accelerate projects and startups with Italian leaders within the pop-up village, harvest Italian talent, and digitally innovate the local high-quality and celebrated skills in design, manufacturing, engineering, art and culture, education, agriculture and food, fashion, and more. An incubator is a baseline to create a sustainable business model and measure the economic and social impact of Digitalia, with the long-term goal of establishing a local alternative for providing public goods and influencing policy decisions in the country.
