π€ Who
I'm fcarva, an economics graduate with a keen interest in mechanism design. I'm particularly fascinated by quadratic funding and community funding mechanisms. Currently, I'm involved in the micro-recycling of plastic waste through the Precious Plastic project, and I serve as a steward at @greenpillbrasil.
My aim with this project is funding for my activities in educational content production and data analysis.
Additionally, I intend to promote Gitcoin and provide support to Brazilian users.
π What I've Done Retroactively
I've authored articles on Quadratic Funding and Regenerative Finance, offering an analysis of projects that received donations in the climate solutions round.
Recognizing the language barrier, the Brazilian community faces difficulties participating in quadratic funding rounds or grasping Gitcoin's mission and purpose. To bridge this gap, I've created content in Portuguese about quadratic financing, which I've publicly shared on platforms such as X, Substack, and Mirror.
I believe that producing texts in Portuguese about quadratic financing will help lower the entry barriers for Brazilian projects in the Gitcoin ecosystem.
My focus is bottom-up community funding projects, NGOs and beach cleaning projects, onboarding crowdfunding projects for the Gitcoin ecosystem
One of my project references is Carlos Melgar, who conducts Impact Onboarding and can simplify complex concepts related to quadratic funding, blockchain, and wallets for groups that have not yet encountered web3.
