About FunDeSci

FunDeSci is an ecosystem for scientific crowdfunding, publishing, and knowledge gateway. It leverages blockchain and NFTs to create a transparent, accessible, and efficient platform that connects researchers, investors, and organizations. FunDeSci introduces a Science value chain where participants can engage in crowdfunding events, buy/sell NFTs representing funded public goods outputs, and subscribe to content from preferred scientists.

We aim to create a decentralized NFT-fundraising marketplace that empowers early-career researchers to secure funding for their innovative scientific projects. Development and Improvement Focus:

  • NFT-Fundraising Mechanism: We are developing a decentralized marketplace where researchers can present their proposals as NFTs, attracting grants from individuals, institutions, and companies. This innovative approach bypasses traditional barriers, democratizes access to funding, and accelerates the support for groundbreaking scientific projects.

  • Science NFT Marketplace: The platform will enable participants to fund and exchange valuable research assets (datasets, technical reports, patents, algorithms) as NFTs, creating a space where the outputs of funded projects become tangible and tradable assets.

  • Blockchain Integration: Currently, FunDeSci supports four leading blockchain networks—Polygon, Arbitrum, Binance, and Optimism—and we plan to integrate other EVM-based blockchains into our platform to leverage its high-speed, scalable, and cost-effective blockchain solutions.
