GreenPill Network aims to advance regenerative digital infrastructure using crypto, with initiatives like Local Chapters educational resources, Gitcoin Grant Stack Round Managers Training, and 'Better the Impact Funding' to support grassroots regeneration.

Introduction

GreenPill Network is a pioneering network state dedicated to exporting regenerative digital infrastructure to the world. Our mission is to utilize crypto for the creation of pro-social, protopian, and pro-environmental initiatives. We envision a future where crypto plays a pivotal role in regenerating the world. Our core initiative, Local Chapters, has been instrumental in driving this vision forward. With 15+ active and thriving local chapters, we have made significant progress towards our goal. We also recently completed our Gitcoin Grant Stack Round Managers Training Cohort, which had 48 participants gone through the training. We are planning to continue to run these Round Manger training cohorts. In this proposal, we outline the achievements of our Local Chapters, what our Round Manager training entailed and present our progress on "Better the Impact Funding" to enhance regeneration at the local level.

1. Providing Educational Resources and Creating Content

One of the primary objectives of GreenPill Network's Local Chapters is to facilitate the onboarding of new users and the establishment of vibrant communities. To achieve this, our chapters have actively focused on creating educational resources, guides, translations of existing content into local languages, and host workshops within their regions. These initiatives have proven to be instrumental in promoting awareness and understanding of regenerative practices at local level.

For eg : Our Japan chapter translated and created educational web3 content such as this https://mirror.xyz/0xFEd3A62567FCEDfD10f56467EA6Db8c39c313606 https://substack.com/@greenpilljapan

Our Nigeria chapter focuses on impact onboarding with events like this - https://x.com/greenpillnaija/status/1707022428398842021?s=46&t=rCJ9954jG14xY_wNY73cFQ

Our Turkey chapter is onboarding local NGOs and running larger community meet ups like this - https://shorturl.at/cmAJ1

To date our chapters have held nearly 73 meetups in their local communities this year.

2. Gitcoin Grant Stack Round Managers Training Program

This cohort was designed to help people learn how to be fully equipped to be Round Managers on Gitcoin’s Grant Stack. It last abouts 8 weeks and includeds live weekly training sessions, drop in office hours, a private discord channel, funds to run a sprint QF round and on-going support once the training ends. Our goal is to equip as many people as possible with the skills and resoruceses needed to help run funding rounds for their own communities either digitally or locally.

The curriculum is as follows: Module 1: Become a Public Goods Maxi Module 2: QF and QV 101 Module 3: Create a QF round Module 4: Grantee Recruitment and Onboarding Module 5. During the Round Marketing Module 6. Post Round Analysis Module 7: Fundraising Module 8: Growing your program *Participants also ran their own sprint QF round in groups and we suppliled them with the matching funds.

You can learn more about the program here - https://app.charmverse.io/gp-round-manager-training-cohort/cohort-curriculum-25970338147403904

We will be launching future Cohorts in Q1 of 2024

3. Guide-Style Essays by GPN Community

To harness the collective expertise and skills of our regenerative enthusiasts, GreenPill Network initiated a collaborative effort to produce guide-style essays. These essays offer valuable insights into regenerative practices, empowering users to contribute positively to the ecosystem. You can see the first guide here https://www.canva.com/design/DAFwUBvVkYc/JT2frqMzsArbs_sNyUxiLw/view

4. Plan for 'Better the Impact Funding'

At GreenPill Network, we are committed to scaling our impact and promoting regenerative initiatives at the grassroots level. To achieve this, we propose the implementation of 'Furthering Impact Funding.' This funding framework aims to amplify the positive contributions made by our Local Chapters and expand their reach to achieve greater regeneration outcomes. This is in close alignment with Gitcoin.

One way we will be doing this is by running GPN specific QF round during GG19 to support the local chapters in getting funding. All chapters will have hypercerts minted in their applications and this round is being run on the forked version of grants stack.

Funds deployment will be administered by

Kevin Owocki Sejal Rekhan
