I. BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The traditional music industry is not bad, but I wonder why many artists always issues with their record labels especially in Africa, well, I’m related to thousands of them, and I can understand their experiences. Many of them ends up depressed while still in contract, because the label determines when to drop their songs, some are already broke cos they are not making money and can't be in the street to hustle because of their reputation, many are secretly looking for a way out, this experience is what I can also relate with. Which made me realize, lowkey everyone wants to be independent, but the question is how?

This is where we come in.

OPxM Is a Web 3 Afro beat community driven to introduce / Onboard / Educate and create a home for web 2 Artist to thrive in the web3 ecosystem. We all know Afro beat is currently one of the biggest genres of music in the world today, and Africa on the hand have one of the largest web3 market in the world, the objective of this project is to onboard independent artist from Africa into creating Afro beat Music NFTs, deployed on optimism and minted on:

Sound.xyz

Zora

Manifold

With the amount of impact in Afrobeat music, it’s undeserving to see few Afrobeat artists in the web3 ecosystem, and that’s because of the structure and lack of projects like this. This project will send a message to the world that Optimism cares about Afro-beat Artist and want to make creating of audio NFTs easy for them which they can always build & earn their royalties on Optimism.

II. IMPACT:

We are dedicated to the roadmap of creating a gateway for web2 artists to be onboarded into the web3 world. With the introduction of the OpxM community, we are optimistic of onboarding numerous web2 artists and ensuring our NFT presence hit the top level. We are ready to provide a wide range learning opportunity for creatives in and out of this ecosystem using the Opxm guides and helping them learn about other opportunities in the web3 ecosystem. Furthermore actively creating impact on optimism Dapps and marketplaces.

Other highlighted impacts: *This will promote the use of web3 technology & dApps like (sound.xyz manifold, zora. Open sea and base, Active wallets, metaverse and so much more

*To help improve community engagement among community members by assigning project & bounties for community members

*Gain the trust of artists and musicians who are still in the web2 world, then onboard them to the web3 world Onboard web2 Artist enormously

*To Create self-Sustainability for the DAO & ecosystem as we look forward to the usage of our website and NFT tools

*This will attract investors from other ecosystem and the world at large.

*Week 3 Round up the weekly Vocal training contents on our YouTube for music beginners & amateurs ( A vocal coach from our community is set to commence this training

IV: EXPECTED OUTCOME:

*OPxM will onboard as many web2 artist as possible, involving songwriters, vocal trainers, song editors and producers.

*This will generate high level of revenue return for the Optimism community marketplaces

*This will help increase the numbers of talented individuals in the Web3 ecosystem

*Show the rest of the Web3 space and the world what we can do

*Ensure our NFTs becomes a key sustainable means for our DAO

What is the DAO’s objective or goals?

Our goal is to provide talents with creative opportunities that will help them utilize and actualize their talents into promoting this community to a global level.

What will the community or the team members role be? The team member’s roles will be to help support ongoing projects while community will be providing feedbacks about the project. Most especially project engagements, bounty participation, related content creations & NFT marketing as we provide the tools needed to achieve it

IN CONCLUSION

Optimism have one of the most transparent and structural ecosystem here on web3 and it’s of great importance we plan ahead for the future. Creating a community such as this for like minded Afrobeat artist to dwell in can be considered one of the biggest step taken by this ecosystem in the nearest future, simply because of the high demands of Afrobeat music which can also provide sustainability to this Artist.

Other than just creating contents we intend to use individuals that are exclusively talented in their fields to bring the best in them, we live in a world where the most talented minds are the most unprivileged, so our scouting team will be in charge of scouting those exeptional talents that can take this blockchain to a more greater height. look how musically afro beat is taking Nigeria as a country to greater level in the music industry, this is achieved by some set of talented individuals, relating this to Optimism now that’s where This Project comes in. We scout, develop and create.
