ResearchHub Foundation is a community governed organization that supports the development of ResearchHub and DeSci through hosting educational scientific events and seminars, and focusing on the development of a robust reputation system for DeSci and an emphasis on paid peer review of pre-prints.
The ResearchHub Foundation has curated and is currently managing a cohort of editors/peer reviewers providing fast turnaround peer review for pre-prints in the fields of biology, chemistry, material sciences, engineering, AI and social sciences. Conversely to the current academic publishing system, ResearchHub Foundation hosted peer reviewers are compensated for their contributions. We hope to leverage the Gitcoin grant to enhance this peer review centric operation for the ResearchHub Foundation.
Initial findings from the peer review pilot program, funded by Gitcoin Grant, has highlighted the ability of our incentivized peer review to accelerate the pace of peer review by 87.5%.
