Wild Sherpas DAO Project: Bridging the Physical & Decentralized Worlds

Overview:

Wild Sherpas DAO presents a pioneering initiative that uniquely combines Nature, Crypto, and Culture. We’re laying down the foundations for an eco-conscious hub in a breathtaking location that facilitates remote working, community gatherings, and deep dives into the world of crypto.

Facility Structure & Features:

At the heart of our location will be the Grand Hall, an Ethereum logo-inspired Crypto Geoglyph. Radiating from that are DAO-themed cottages, each telling a tale of its origin and purpose. These cottages won’t just be aesthetically pleasing; they will be functional spaces equipped with robust internet and office amenities catering to remote workers and digital nomads.

A library stocked with books and resources on blockchain, decentralization, and other contemporary themes. Our facility will also host spaces for artists to exhibit their work and venues for various community events, ranging from casual meetups to formal seminars.

Programs & Initiatives:

Crypto Camps: Intensive educational boot camps that offer hands-on training, helping participants navigate the crypto landscape confidently.

Talent Initiative: A unique mechanism that matches budding crypto enthusiasts with mentors, guiding them from enthusiasts to full-time contributors and even founders.

Onboarding with Education: An in-depth induction process that ensures every participant understands the decentralized ecosystem they are entering. This includes lessons on blockchain basics, DAO operations, and more.

Art & Culture Integration: Facilitate artists’ onboarding, linking them with mentors and potential collectors, and offer them space for physical exhibitions.

Environmental Initiatives: Our commitment extends to ecosystem restoration from invasive species and planting native trees.

Community drives: Sponsoring educational resources like School bags for tribal children in collaboration with The Ashoka Tree organisation.

DAO Functionality & Crypto Integration:

Wild Sherpas will seamlessly incorporate leading crypto protocols. This includes a DEX widget from CoW Protocol, a customized NFT platform, payment on-ramps, and a curated collection of educational resources.

As we strive for true decentralization, the platform will also run Ethereum nodes and offer crypto payment options, adhering to regional regulations.

Membership Tiers:

Tier 1 - Supporter ($25 NFT Ticket): Benefits include staying at the residence and hosting events. A portion of the proceeds will aid Gitcoin and Giveth.

Tier 2 - Contributor ($600 NFT Ticket): This premium tier offers a 1-month complimentary stay and grants privileges to steer the DAO’s direction. A segment of the revenue supports Gitcoin & Protocol Guild.

Roadmap & Milestones:

Starting from design approval to constructing our Ethereum-themed hub, the next year is meticulously planned. We’re committed to building out our infrastructure while simultaneously funding our tree planting initiative, designing DAO-themed cottages, and laying the foundation for a Metagovernance structure in partnership with supporting DAOs.

Challenges:

Our journey, though promising, hasn’t been without its share of challenges. Legal intricacies surrounding DAOs, especially when intertwined with physical assets, demanded adaptability in our approach. Crafting a synergy between art, culture, nature, and crypto required iterative design adjustments. But with resilience, support from DAO mentors, and a clear vision, we’re poised to bring this dream to reality.
