Co-creating a global-local network focused on stewardship of agroecosystems; involving urban/rural collaboration, distributed via Web3, NFTs to support food forests, and tools for agroecological succession management.

We are cocreating a rooted network society, that supports the co-stewardship of intergenerational agroecosystems and its tangible and intangible assets by a Glocal community of peers.๐Ÿœ

It is a huge challenge, and we couldn't do it without the support of the web3 community. We are all the same tribe, and we are in this together, building a new cultural coordination for perennial resources.๐Ÿ™Œ

One implicit contract existent in community ag is that if people helps you in your labor it is kind from you to reward them with a share of the harvest. Pretty nice, but how to put that primitive implicit contract onchain?

In an attempt to start answering that question we have issued Hypercerts to the participants of the initial planting of our pilot agroforest and created an NFT collection showing the baby trees growing in order to allow anyone to get linked to our Food Forest by supporting the annual management costs of successional nests, where the production of banana supports the growth of different fruit and wood trees. All the people (addresses) involved in this process (namely seed providers, volunteers, local team multisig, AgroforestDAO multisig, previous NFT and artists) are included in a split.xyz contract, and they are rewarded after every sale.๐ŸŒฑ

Right now we are testing this concept and it is still manually made after every sale. If you have ideas on how to automate all of this in a fractal pattern please get in touch and let's talk about it.

We are now dedicated to onboard more gardeners and succession stewards to our DAO, starting in the end of Q2 with a brazilian cohort. Therefore we built a tool for Proof-of-Succession, first with a web app for planning a successional system , and a Telegram bot that makes it easy to follow up the growth of a nest by uploading geolocated pictures to IPFS and to our Charmverse workspace where we'll do community review.

Goal is to have an initial cohort of users that produces food and seeds using the natural succession and support them in a learning journey about Web3 and AgroforestDAO. We know that food forests generate enough returns to fuel a rooted economy, but we need your help to kickstart it.๐Ÿ’ช

Finally, in our land based pilot called Redemption Hill we have harvested the rice and planted 160 successional nests in the Spring/Summer season and planted the beans of the Fall/Winter season, while hosting volunteers and experiences on site. ๐ŸŒพ

This wouldn't be done without your support during previous round, so we ask you to please support us again.

Thank You!! ๐Ÿ™
